Folder purchases and creator sales

Creator Commerce Terms

Effective 2026-10-08. These Creator Commerce Terms are provided by LockItVault, 901 E. Saint Louis Street, Suite 705, Springfield, MO 65806, United States. Contact: webmaster@lockitvault.com.

Creator sales and platform role

Creators are the sellers of the content access identified in their offers. LockItVault provides hosting, access administration, and payment facilitation. Buyers purchase the stated access rights; ownership of the content remains with its owner. Eligible free and paid LockItVault accounts may sell access, subject to onboarding, content rules, and applicable service limits.

Fees

Creators set their prices subject to a $1.00 minimum after discounts and before tax. LockItVault’s fee is 20% of the first $10.00, 15% of the portion above $10.00 through $50.00, and 10% of the portion above $50.00, with a minimum total fee of $0.25 per successful payment. These rates apply incrementally to content consideration excluding tax and before payment-service deductions. Applicable Stripe and other disclosed service fees are additional creator costs.

Schedule LV-FOLDER-2026-01 applies equally to free and paid creators. LockItVault imposes no maximum price. Processor restrictions may limit a transaction. Estimates do not guarantee a payout.

Recurring access

Recurring purchases renew at the price and interval expressly authorized at checkout until canceled. Buyers may cancel online through Manage access. Cancellation stops future renewals and ordinarily preserves access through the paid-through date. One-time timed purchases do not renew automatically. Existing subscription prices will not change merely because the Creator changes the price offered to new buyers.

Folder purchases and LockItVault storage subscriptions are separate. Buying, accessing, and canceling folder access does not require a paid storage plan, biometric enrollment, or a Stripe business account.

Refunds

The disclosed refund policy does not limit mandatory consumer rights. Refunds, non-delivery, unauthorized charges, and disputes will be handled under the applicable offer, these terms, and law. LockItVault reverses the corresponding proportion of its original platform fee when content consideration is refunded or finally reversed. Payment-provider fees may remain payable under the provider’s terms.

Ordinary cancellation does not automatically prorate an otherwise delivered period. Mandatory remedies and authorized goodwill refunds remain available. Ordinary refunds are funded from the creator’s connected-account balance, with LockItVault reversing the corresponding proportion of its original platform fee. LockItVault provides backup funding for legally required remedies when the creator cannot fund them. If a paid purchase remains undelivered for 24 hours, we initiate the refund process unless the buyer expressly accepts an alternative. A pending refund is not a completed refund. Customer refunds and platform-fee reversals are separate operations; the same consideration must not be reimbursed through both a refund and a chargeback. Any recovery from a creator requires an authorized, disclosed and lawful process.

Content and copying

Creators must own or possess the rights needed to offer their content and comply with applicable law and payment-provider restrictions. Purchased access is nontransferable except as expressly permitted by the offer. Expiration or revocation stops future platform access to the extent technically supported, but does not reliably delete previously downloaded content, screenshots, or decryption material.

Platform download and export permissions may be shown in the offer and Manage access. A viewing restriction cannot guarantee that content cannot be copied. Changes must respect accepted purchase rights and mandatory remedies.

New offers allow platform downloads by default unless the creator chooses otherwise. If the accepted purchase permits downloads, the creator cannot remove that purchased permission. For an accepted view-only purchase, the creator may grant additional platform downloads, archives and exports to an individual buyer, then withdraw that additional permission or restore the accepted view-only default. Effective permission changes are recorded and require a transactional notice. These controls do not change the accepted price or remove mandatory remedies. Viewing can still permit copying, screenshots or saving media; LockItVault does not promise copy prevention.

Service limits and closure

Paid folder sales remain subject to disclosed storage and delivery limits. Removing a folder, closing an account, or disconnecting payments does not eliminate outstanding obligations to Buyers. Future charges must stop where access will not be provided, and prepaid commitments must be honored or remedied as applicable.

Creators use their existing account storage allowance and may choose a storage-plan upgrade when they need more capacity. Initial creator commerce adds no separate folder storage, monthly delivery or request quota. Technical processing and account-plan restrictions still apply. Any future additional allowance requires separate approval and disclosure; no unapproved overage or automatic storage-plan upgrade is charged.

Taxes and mandatory rights

Each party remains responsible for obligations imposed on it by applicable law. Identifying a Creator as the seller does not transfer a statutory obligation that belongs to LockItVault. Mandatory consumer protections prevail over inconsistent general terms.

Checkout currently collects no sales tax. This does not establish that a purchase is tax-exempt. Any tax collection changes affecting recurring purchases will be disclosed and authorized where required.

Security and delivery

Paid folder content uses private storage and server-managed encryption keys. LockItVault servers can decrypt content to deliver it to an authorized buyer while the creator is offline. This paid-folder delivery model is not client-side end-to-end encryption or zero-knowledge storage. Creator passwords and unwrapped creator master keys are not provided to buyers to deliver a purchase.

Changes and notices

A changed public price creates a new offer version for new buyers. Material changes to an existing recurring purchase require applicable advance notice and authorization; continued platform use alone does not authorize a different recurring charge. Required transactional notices follow the applicable supported-jurisdiction policy. Before a recurring purchase, checkout separately presents Electronic Delivery Terms and asks for your affirmative agreement to required transactional notices at your verified email. That agreement is separate from purchase acceptance and recurring-payment authorization. The Electronic Delivery Terms describe access and retention requirements, free paper copies, contact updates and prospective withdrawal. It does not authorize marketing. Existing accepted records are preserved; a new disclosure does not rewrite earlier consents.

Relationship to general terms

These specific commerce provisions govern paid-folder purchases where the general LockItVault terms conflict. The general storage-plan remedy does not replace paid-folder refund or non-delivery remedies. The general monthly liability cap, blanket claim and risk waivers, one-year claim deadline, mandatory arbitration, and claimant fee-shifting provisions do not apply to paid-folder transactions. Applicable law governs available remedies, claim deadlines, venue, and dispute costs. No provision waives mandatory consumer rights.
